Damaskus

Sayyida Zaynab RA was one of the daughters of Hadrat Ali, and a blessed grandchild of the Prophet (pbuh). She is either burried here in Damascus, in Cairo or in Medina .

Sayyida Ruqqaya was the daughter of Imam al Hussain, who was the son of Imam Ali and Sayyeda Fatima. May Allah be pleased with them all.

The graveyard in which many sahabas (May Allah be pleased with them all), like Hadrat Bilal al Habashi RA is burried. The graveyard is also known as "Goristan-e-Ghariban".

The Great Ummayyad Mosque remains a symbol of the glorious period of Muslim civilisation and its pride. It is a masterpiece of architectural ingenuity having a decisive influence on the maturity of mosque architecture all over the Muslim World.

Mystic, philosopher, poet, sage, Muhammad b. 'Ali Ibn 'Arabi is one of the world's great spiritual teachers. He was born in 1165 AD into the Moorish culture of Andalusian Spain, and died in Damascus in 1240 AD.

Salah al-Din was the first Sultan of Egypt and Syria. He is also renowned for winning Jerusalem back from the crusaders.
